The Thatch

If you walk along the promenade at the top, you'll see this bright blue building.There's outside and indoor seating.Toilets available.Dogs are not allowed inside, however, you can take them in to order at the till and eat outside.Food was served really fast.The breakfast was REALLY big.Inside was comfortable, although it does get very busy.I'd definitely come back here again !!To note- be vigilant of the seagulls on the roof outside, they'll watch your food.

One of the best places which has the best hunters chicken in the town. To top it, the view of the open sea is breathtaking. The portion of the food is really good. It took a while for the order to be prepared but it was totally worth it. It looked fresh and well cooked the taste was amazing. They also have mini golf which can keep everyone occupied. Would definitely recommend it.

My first time visiting The Thatch, even after living in Lowestoft for over 20 years!From the minute I walked in I was so impressed with how nice the place was inside. Whilst waiting in the queue to be served, I noticed the cakes and sausages rolls on display they looked delicious!We went for a full English breakfast and it was top notch, great quality ingredients which from the menu suggested they were all locally sourced which is even better! I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and will be recommending The Thatch to my family/friends. Already looking forward to returning!

Really friendly staff, calm, scenic ambience and banging food. Full English was very superior quality and my gf had a gorgeous chicken and leek pie. Yum yum

We stopped here on a very windy morning to get out of the rain and were very pleased to find a cosy and friendly cafe serving a really good selection of food including delicious breakfasts (til midday) and lunches. I opted for the full English breakfast and was really pleased I did - really generous and well presented serving and very delicious. My hubby had a breakfast baguette and got food envy, though his was good too. We were also really impressed with the mini picnic lunch for our toddler which had little sandwiches, a pack of quavers and lots of fruit and vegetables on a plate, which she loved.The service was efficient and really friendly and it was in a great location just above the beach. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent quality food. Friendly staff. Amazing menu selection. Gets busy as very popular but definitely recommend a visit.

Last time we were there, we had breakfast. Food was very good and truly enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly, but tables were not clean and trays were not collected. We have been there a couple of times and highly recommended.

Came here for breakfast on the recommendation of someone staying in the same holiday park.8 of us arrived at 10am, plenty of seating, service was quick.Staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.Great location, will go again when next in the area.
